Welcome to the Kingdom of Salanda

The Kingdom of Salanda, referred colloquially as Salanda (Salandan (old script): Ćaüaméa; Salandan (simplified): Salanda; Hebrew: סלנדה) is a nation and a self-proclaimed sovereign state. Salanda declared its independence from the United Kingdom followed by its formal establishment on 22 June 2018, a day which is now observed as Independence Day.

Salanda is one of the biggest micronations, with an established history, monarchy and democracy. It is a member of the Alliance of the Micronations and has a rich culture and heritage. The nation is known for its commitment to democracy, with regular elections and a multi-party system.

Information

The Salandarian mainland is located in London and is entirely landlocked within England. Salanda is made up of seven provinces, eight territories, and one protectorate. Some regions, like the Negev Province in Israel, Silavere, and Federalia in Spain, are located far from the mainland.

The Tepoelan is Salanda’s two-chamber legislature. Executive power lies with the Prime Minister and the cabinet, who manage the nation’s affairs. The Prime Minister is elected by the people and formally appointed by the ceremonial monarch, currently King Reuben I.

About the Nation

Salanda is currently under its third government since its transition to a democracy. The national capital is Suveste. A planned capital, Cantaras, was approved in the past but later cancelled due to delays and issues in parliament.

Salanda is a founding member of the Alliance of the Micronations and is part of the International Aerospace Community, following a liberal democratic system with a rich culture and steady population growth.
