Elections are a cornerstone of Salanda's democracy, allowing citizens to choose their representatives. All citizens are encouraged to participate. Elections are held once every two years, with every party able to run.

Political Parties
Salanda has a multi-party system, with several political parties representing a range of ideologies and interests. The major parties include:

Party System
Salanda's political landscape is characterized by a vibrant party system, where parties compete in regular elections. The electoral process is overseen by the Electoral Commission to ensure fairness and transparency.
Political Party Guidance
Creating a Political Party
- Must have at least 3 members.
- Must register with the Salanda Electoral Commission via Discord.
- When registering, please note your party name, standing (e.g. centre left) and members. You must be a Salandarian citizen to form a party or be a party member.
- Political parties are expected to participate in elections, promote political education, and respect the rule of law.
Joining a Political Party
- Joining a political party is a simple process, but you must be a Salandarian citizen.
- To join, contact the party leadership, usually found on the microwiki.
- If you cannot find the leader, ask in the Discord.
- Once in a party, please announce your membership in the Discord.
